O. 440 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Gold (Control) Act, 1968 (34 of 1968), the Central Govern- ment hereby appoints the officers of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence specified below as Gold Control Officers for (he purpose of enforcing the pro- visions of the said Act, namely :—
1. Director 2. Joint Director 3. Officer-on-Special Duty 4. Deputy Director 5. Assistant Director 6. Assistant Collector 7. Investigation Officer (Police) or (Income-tux). 8. Superintendent of Customs or Superintendent of Central Excise or
Appraiser of Customs
9. Inspector of Central Excise or Preventive Officer or
Examiner of Customs or Inspector (Income-tax).
