S.O. 441 (EJ.—Tn pursuance of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the scat of the member representing the Union Territory of Mizoram in the Council of States who will be retiring on the 16th July, 1978, on the expiration of his term of office, is published for general information :—
DECLARATION
Election to the Council of States by the members of the electoral college
of Mizoram Union Territory.
"In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub-section (2) of wection 53 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, read with sub-rule (1) of Rule 11 of the Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961, 1 declare that Shri Lalsawia of Zorkawt, Chandmary, Aizawl (Mizoram) has been duly elected to fill the seat in that Housw of one member retiring on the 16lh July, 1978 on the expiration of his term of office.
