New Delhi, the 17th July, 1978
S.O. 453(E).—Whereas by a notification of the Gov- ernment of India in the Ministry of Petroleum, Chemicals and Fertilizers (Department of Petroleum) S.O. No. 374(E) dated 6-6-1978 under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Petroleum and Mineral Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of user in land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962) the Central Govern- ment declared its intention to acquire the right of user in the lands specified in the schedule appended to that noti- fication for the purpose of laying pipeline ;
And whereas the Competent Authority has under sub- section (1) of section 6 of the said Act, submitted report to the Government;
And further whereas the Central Government has after- considering the said report, decided to acquire the right of user in lands specified in the schedule appended to this notification ;
Now therefore, in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of the Section 6 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the right of user in the said lands specified in the schedule appended to this noti- fication hereby acquired for laying the pipelines;
And further in exercise of power conferred by sub-section (4) of that section, the Central Government directs that the right of user in the said lands shall instead of vesting in the Central Government vest on this date of the publi- cation of this declaration in the Oil and Natural Gas Com- mission, free from encumbrances.
