CENTRAL EXCISES
ti.s.K. lurHfi).-—In exercise of Uic powers conferred by sub-rule (1) ot rule 8 of Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following nmendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 108/78-Ccntial Excises, dated .the 28th April, 1978, namely :—
In the said notification—
(i) in column (1) of the Table for Ihe figures, letters and words "30 h day ot September, 1978", the figures letters and words "15th day of August, 197S" shall be substituted ;
(it)1 for paragraph 4, the following paragraph shall be substituted,
namely :—
"4. Where production during May to 15th August in all the preceding three sugar years was nil, the entire production during the period commencing on the 1st day of May, 1978 and ending with the 15Ui day of August, 1978, will be entitled to Ihe exemption under this notification."
