ORDER

New Delhi, the 7th September 1978

G.S.R. 446(E)—Whereas it appears to the Central Government that it is necessary and expedient so to do for securing the equitable

distribution of the essential commodity, namely fertiliser.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955) the Central

Government hereby directs that the manufacturers specified in the schedule given below ;

1. Shall sell to the registered fertilisers dealers in the States, Union Territories and Ihe Commodity Gardens mentioned in Column 1

of the said schedule fertilisers of the description and quantity mentioned therein during the period 1st August, 1978 to 31st January, 1979 at the rate of one sixth of the quantity specified in the schedule in a month; and

2. Shall submit to the Central Government and the State Govt, or U. Ts. or Commodity Boards pertaining to the Commodity

Gardens mentioned in Column 2 of the said schedule a statement by the 10th day of every month containing therein :—

(i) The quantity of fertilisers despatched to various dealers in the States, Union Territories and the Commodity Gardens mentioned

in Column 1 with the dates of despatch during previous month; and

(ii) The quantity of fertilisers which the said manufacturer propose to despatch to the various dealers in the States Union Territo-

ries and Commodity Gardens mentioned in Column 1 in the succeeding month.
