EXPLANATION:—For the purposes of this notification—
G. S. R. 471 (E)—In exercise of tho powers conferred by sub- sections (2) and (3) of section 3 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (De- partment of Revenue) No. 315/77—Central Excises, dated the 14th November, 1977, the Central Government hereby fixes for processed woollen fabrics, falling under Item No. 21 of the First Schedule to the said Act, produced by a factory other than composite mill and specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, the tariff values specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.
