Subject :—Export of Venom of Snakes during 1978-79.
[File No. 26/1/78-EII].—Attention is invited to Exports (Control)Order No. E(C)O, 1977/AM (72), dated the 26th September, 1978, and the policy for export of Venom of Snakes appearing against S. No. 94 at page 38 of Export Policy 1978-79.

aaainst S. No. 94 at page 38 of Export Policy 1978-79 to read as under :—
Description of the item Licensing Policy
Venom of Snakes
(i) Export will be allowed freely in the casa of Laboratories/Institutions, who have the facility to extract venom from snakes without killing them and can produce acceptable documentary evidence to this cllect, to the licensing authority concerned.
(ii) In the case of^others, export will bo allowed on merits, in consultation with the Ministry of Commerce, Civil Supplies & Co-operation.
