ORDER
G.S.R. 494(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), and in partial modification of the order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Irriga- tion (Department of Food) No. G.S.R. 800, dated the 9th June, 1978, the Central Government hereby directs that powers conferred on it by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act to make orders to provide for the matters specified in clauses (c) and (f) of sub-section (2) thereof shall, in relation to foodstuffs, be excrcisable also by the Government of Wcs' Bengal, without conditions (1) and (2) laid down in the said order being applicable.
2. This Order shall remain in force for a period of three months from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, and thereafter Order No, G.S.R. 800, dated the 9th June, 1978, shall become operative in full as if this Order has not been made.
