New Delhi, the 25th October, 1978
S.O. 610(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Steel and Mines (Department of Steel) number S.O. 862-E, dated the 30th December, 1977, under sub-section (I) of section 3 of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acqui- sition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962), the Central Government had declared its intention to acquire the right of user in the lands specified in the Schedule annexed to that notification, for the purpose of laying pipelines for the transpoit of ircn nc concen- trate from Malleshwara (Kudremukh) to New Mangalorc Port, Vanambur in Karnataka;
And whereas the objections to the said notification received by the competent authority have been considered by thai authority;
And whereas the competent authority has, under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the said Act, submitted a report to the Central
Government;
And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that such lands arc required for the purpose of laying pipelines for the trans-
port of iron ore concentrate from Malleshwara (Kudremukh) to New Mangalore Port, Panambur in Kamataka;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the right of user in the lands specified in the schedule annexed to this notification is hereby acquired for laying the afore- said pipelines.
