CENTRAL EXCISE
GAR. 527(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and in super- session of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 153/78-Central Excises, dated the 16th August, 1978, the Central Government hereby fixes a tariff value of two hundred and five rupees per quintal for sugar cleared on or after the 3rd day of November, 1978, and falling under sub-Item (1) of Item No. 1 of the First Schedule to the said Act and chargeable with duty ad valorem.
