CENTRAL EXCISES
GAR. S28(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely :—
1. These rales may bo called the Central Excise (14th Amendment) Rules,
1978.
2. In the Central Excise Rules, 1944, in rule 173-C, in sub-rule (2),—
(a) in clause (iv), the word "or" shall be Inserted at the end ;
(b) after clause (iv), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:—
"(v) clears the goods of the same kind and quality from his factories located in the jurisdiction of different Collectors of Central Excise or Assistant Collectors of Central Excise."
