PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 86-ITC(PN}/78

New Delhi, the 17th November, 1978 Subject : Import Policy, 1978-79—Import of Copper un-

wrought.

F. No. IPC/43/4/78.—Attention is invited to sub-para 2(vi) of the Department of Commerce Public Notice No. 69-1TC (PN)/78 dated the 28th September, 1978 pertaining to allot- ment of copper to Actual Users in respect of their unserviced requirements for July—September. 1978 quarter.

2. On a review of the position, it has been decided that eligible Actual Users may register their unserviced require- ments of July—September period (as defined hereunder) with the Minerals & Metals Trading Corporation not later than the 28th November, 1978. Such "unserviced" requirements will represent the quantity of copper unwrought as worked out on the basis of the average monthly off-take during December 1977 to June 1978 minus the quantity already 844 GI/78 (1127) 1128 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [FART I—SEC. drawn from the canalising agency/HCL for the period July— September, 1978. Only Iwonhirds of the unserviced require- ments for July—September 4978 period so worked out, as may be found to be in order on scrutiny by the MMTC, will be supplied in two equal instalments, each along with the allocation to be made to the Actual User concerned against his registration with the canalising agency for the months of October, 1978 and November 1978. Actual Users who did not register with the MMTC for their basic monthly requirement for October, 1978 would, however, not be entitled to receive their unserviced requirement of July-'-September 1978 due in October 1978 as per the above provision.

No. IPC/3/15/78.—Attention is invited to para 40-A in Chapter 6 of the Import Policy, 1978-79 inserted under the Department of Commerce Public Notice No. 67-ITC(PN)/78, dated the 14th September, 1978, as amended by the Depart- ment of Commerce Public Notice No. 7O-ITC(PN)/78, dated the 28th September, 1978.

2. The first sentence of the said para 40-A shall be d"emed

to have been amended to read as under:—
