NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 25th November, 1978
CENTRAL EXCISES
G.S.R. 5S2(E>.—In exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 3 of the Central Excises
and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), and in supersession of the notifi-
cation of the Government of India in the Department of Revenue
and Banking (Revenue Wing) No. 205/76-Central Excises, dated
the 24th June, 1976, the Central Government hereby fixes for
electrical stampings and lamination (other than electrical stam-
pings and laminations manufactured from mumctal), falling
under Item No. 28A of the First Schedule to the said Act and
specified In column (2) of the table below, the tariff value spe-
cified in the corresponding entry in column (3) thereof.

Eighteen rupees.
1. Electrical stampings and laminations manufactured out of grain oriented steel sheets.
2.
Fifteen rupees and fifty paise.
Other electrical stampings and lami- nations.
Provided that nothing contained in this notification shall apply to electrical stampings and laminations which are genera- lly used in—
(a) chokes,
(b) transformers [other than (i) transformers for power transmission and distribution and of rating 1000 kilo- volt amperes or above, (ii) current transformers of rated primary current 500 amperes or above, (iii) poten- tial transformers of rated primary voltage 1000 volts
or above],
(c) measuring instruments; and
(d) electronic equipment.
