NOTIFICATION

Now Delhi, the 25th November, 1978

S. O. 68(E)/IDRA/29B/75.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 29B of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951, (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby exempts all industrial undertakings engaged in the spinning of man-made fibres up to a capacity of 50,000 spindles from the operation of sections 10, 11, HA and 13 of the said Act and the rules made thereunder subject to the following conditions, namely :—

(1) The articles of manufacture shall not be an article specified in Schedule I to the notification of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Development (Department of Industrial Development) No. 98E/IDRA/29B773/1, dated the 16th February, 5973, as amended from time to time.

(2) The industrial undertaking does not fall within the purview of the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1969 (54 of 1969), or the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1973 (46 of 1973).

2. This notification is in addition to and not in derogation of notification
