Defence SurvkeS {Revised Pay) Rule*, 1*73, ntmtty:—

1. (1) These rules mty be called tlM Civilitn* in Defence

Services (Revistd Pay) AnMadmilt Rules, 1971.

(2) They shall be deemed to have como mto force on the 1st

day of January, 1973.

The CivMtons In Defence Service* (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973.

which were noticed to implement the Government decisions on

the recommendations of the Third Pay Commission in respect

of the pay "cal"s of Civilian employees in the Defence Services,

were given effect to from the 1st January, W73, otcept in respect

of revision of pay or scales of pay of posts which have been up

graded to Rs. 3000 (fixed) or above. The Present amendment

to thtt First Schedule to those Rules which indicate the revised

scale for certain post is accordingly being given effect to from

the 1st January, 1973, so as to extend the benefit of revised scale

from that date.

2. In the Civilians in Defence Services (Revised Pay) Rul"s,

1W3, in the First Schedule, in PART 'D', In Section II, under

I he sub-heading "(ii) Non-Gazettod and Non-Industrial Staff"

after SI. No. 8 C and the entries relating theroto, the following

ahull b* inserted, namely;—
