CENTRAL EXCISES
G.S.R. 567(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of
section 3 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and in super-
session of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance
(Department of Revenue) No, 193 /78-Central Excises, dated the 3rd November,
1978, the Central Government hereby fixes a tariff value of one hundred and
ninety rupees per quintal for sugar cleared on or after the 1st December, 1978.
and falling under sub-item (1) of Item No. 1 of the First Schedule to the said
Act and chargeable with duty ud valorem.
