M. M. Hashim, a member elected to that House from 31-Secunderabad parliamentary constituency in the State of Andhra Pradesh ;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub- section (1) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (44 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect a person to fill the said vacancy before 11 January, 1979 (Thursday) in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder.

S.O. 708(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of tho People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby appoints, with res- pect to tho by-election to be held in 31-Secundorabad parlia- mentary constituency in the State of Andhra Pradesh in pursuance of its notification No. 100/AP-HP/l/78(l), dated 8 December, 1978—

(a) 15 December, 1978 (Friday), as the last date for

making nominations ;

(b) 16 December, 1978 (Saturday), as the date for the

scrutiny of nominations ;

the withdrawal of candidatures ;

(d) 7 January, 1979 (Sunday), as the date on which

S.O. 709(E).—In pursuance of section 56 of tho Re- presentation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby fixes 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken for the by-election to the House of the People from 31- Secundcrabad parliamentary constituency to be held In pur- suance of its Notification No. 1OO/AP-HP/1/780), dated 8 December, 1978.

(e) 11 January, 1979 (Thursday), as the date before
