G.S.R. 579(E).~In exercise of the power; conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of ihc All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), read with sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Indian Adminisiralive Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, the Central Government, after consultation with the Union Public Service Com- mission and the Government of Kerala hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, namely ;—
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Indian Administrative Service
(Appointment by Promotion) Seventh Amendment Regulations, 1978.
(2) They shall come into force en the date of their publication jn the Official
Gazette.
2. In tho Schedule to the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, in the entries relating to "Kerala", in Column 3, for the entry Additional Chief Secretary to Government", the following entry shall bo substituted, namely :—
"Senior-most Special Secretary to Government"

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 18th December, 1978
G.S.Ii. 580(K)—In exercise of ihe powers conferred by sub-section (1J read wilh clause (j) of iub-section (2) of section 46 of (he Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Aci. 1976 (33 of 1976), the Central Government hereby makes; the following rules 1'uilhcr to amend the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Rules, 1976, namely :—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Urban Land (Ceilinjj and Regulation)
Seventh Amendment Rules, 1978.
(2) They skall come into force on the dale of their publication in the Official
Gazette.
2. In rule II, for the words "otic thousand and forty-nine days" wherever they occur, the wards "one thousand one hundred and thirtynine days" shall be substituted.
