FOREIGN TRAVEL TAX
G.S.R, 583(E).—-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 46 of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1971 (32 of 1971), the Central Oovermnont, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts members of Ihe sports teams and coaches accompanying such teams peiiomiiiig on international journey for talcing part in international sports competitions of tournaments or championships, from the payment of foreign travel ID.X leviable under-section (I) of section 45 of the said Act in respect of such journey, where the fare for which is paid or is payable in Indian currency.
Provided that the journey for aforesaid purpose has been sponsored or app- roved or recommended by (he Government ot India in the Ministry of Edu- cation.
