Subject ; Submission of applications for import of Capital Goods by Industrial
Units registered with DGTD.
[File No, IPC/63/38/78].—Attention is invited to the provisions made in the Department of Commerce Public Notice No. 50-ITC(PN)/78, dated the 18th July, 1978, according to which applications for import of capital goods for a value not exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs arc to be made to the Chief Controller of Im- ports and Exports, New Delhi, instead of the regional licensing authorities con- cerned, by the units borne on ihe books of the DGTD, New Delhi.
2. The necessary administrative arrangements for decentralisation of this work have since been made. Therefore, the units borne on the books of DGTD should, hereafter, apply to the regional licensing authority concerned for the import of Capital Goods of a value not exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs as laid down in sub-para 140(i) of the Hand Book of Import-Export Procedures, 1978-79.
