ORDER
New Delhi, the 26th December, 1978
S.O. 732(E)—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essen- tial Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government makes the following Order to amend the Copper (Prohibition of Use in the manufacture of PVC and VIR Wires of domestic type) Order, 1978, namely :—
1. (1) This Order may be called the Copper (Prohibition of Use in the Manufacture of PVC and VIR Wires of domestic type) Amendment Order, 1978. (2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official
Gazette.
2. For sub-clause (b) of clause 2 of the Copper (Prohibition of Use in the Manufacture of PVC and VIR Wires of domestic type) Order, 1978, the follow- ing sub-clause shall be substituted, namely :—
"(b) "PVC and VIR wires of domestic type" means the following types of cables having nominal cross sectional area of conductors upto and in- cluding 16 mm4, namely :—
(i) 250/440 Volts grade rubber insultated cables as per tables 25, 27, 31
and only TRS cables in table 29 of IS;434 (Part-I)—1964 ;
