Sun : Policy for export of sugar during the year 1979. [F. No. 28/24/78-EI,]—Attention is invited to the Department of Commerce, Exports (Control) Order, No. E(C)O , 1977 /AM(83) dated 28th December, 1978, on the above subject.
2. It has been decided by the Government that export of sugar will be all( wed
under OGL. 3 by Stale Trading Corporation of India Ltd., and by Sugar factories only. Sugar factories will export sugar themselves from their own production. The relevant contracts should be registered by them with State Trading Corporation of India Ltd., not later than 31st January, 1979. Therefore, following amendment shall be made in the Export Policy, 1978-79 :

(i) the State Trading Corporation
of India Ltd., and
(ii) the sugar factories themselves from their own production; the relevant contracts should be registered by them with the State Trading Corporation of Inc'ia. Ltd., not later than 31st January, 1979".
