Sub,—Export Policy of Arms and Ammunition.
No. 17/2/7S-EL—Attention is invited to Exports (Control)
Order Mo. E(C)O, 1977/AM(84) dated the lstJnuary, 1979 published in the Gazette of India Extradordinary.
2. On a review of the situation, it ha? been decided to revise
the export policy of Fire Arms and Aummunitions. The existing entry at S. No. 91 of the Policy Statement as given on pages 37-38 of Section 11 to Export Policy Book for 1978-79 may be substituted as under : -

"91. Arms and Ammunition and Military stores other than sharp edged weapons viz., khukries, kirpans. kris, hunting knives,
swords etc. :—

(ii) Fire arms and ammu- Export will he allowed 'On nitions other than merits* in consultation with those mentioned at the Ministry of Home (i) above. Affairs and the Depart-
ment of Commerce.
(iii) Military Stores 'On merits' in consultation with Ministry of Commerce Ministry of Defence and Ministry of External Affairs."
