NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, 1st January, 1979
G.S.R. 2(E)—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 9 of the Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the Second Schedule to the said Act, namely :—
In tlio S^ond Schedule to the aforesaid Act, for item 6 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely :—
"6. Manganese Ore— (a) Manganese dioxide (containing 78% or Thirty rupees per tonne
more of MnO, and 4% or below l7c.)
tb) 46% Mn. and above Twelve rupee-, per limnc (c) 3*i'n Mn. and above but below 46% Mn. Seven rupee, and Fifty raise
per tonne.
(J) Mow 35% Mn. but above 25% Mn. Five rupees per tonne (c) 25% Mn. or bc'ow Two rupees per tonne." 2. This notification shall come into force on and with effect from 1-1-1979.
