48 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)]FXECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA And whereas all objections and suggestions received in re- lation to the said proposals relating to the State of Kerala were considered by the Commission at public sittings held at Calicut on 28th October, 1978 and at Trivandrum on 2nd November, 1978.
The Commission hereby makes the following amendments in the Delimitation of. Parliamentary and Assembly Constituen- cies Order, 1976 (without altering the extent of any constituen- cy as given in such Order) in respect of the State of Kerala.
I. In Schedule II of the said Order, against item 9 Kerala—
(i) under column 6, the figure "13" shall be substituted for the figure "12"; and
(ii) under column 7, the figure " 1" shall be suhttttuted foi" the figure "2"; and
II. In Schedule XT of the said Order—
(1) in Part A—Parliamentary Constituencies —
(i) in 4-Culicut, the entry "30-Sultan's Battery" shall be substituted for the existing entry '"30-Sultan's Battery (ST)" ; and

S.O. 26(E).—In pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amend- ment) Act, 1976, the following Order made by the Election Commission under clause (d) of sub-section (3) of section 6 of the Act Is hereby published :—
ORDER
Whereas under clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 6 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amend- ment) Act, 1976, the proposals of tho Election Commission to amend the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1976, were published in the Gazette of India and in the official Gazette of the State of Kerala on 9th September, 1977;
(ii) in 8-Ottapalarn (SC), the entry "43-Thrithala ( S O" shall be substituted for the existing entry "43-Thri- thala" ;
(2) in Part B—Assembly Constituencies—
(i) the serial number and name of the constituency, "43-Thrithala (SC)" shall be substituted tor "43- Thrithala" ; and
(ii) the serial number and name of the constituency, "30-Sultan's Battery" shall be substituted for "30-SuItan's Battery (ST)".
