NOTIFICATIONS

CUSTOMS
G.S.R. 53(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts cellulose acetate sheets and strips falling within Chapter 39 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into India, from—
(a) so much of that portion of the duty of customs levi- able thereon which is specified m the said First Schedule, as is in excess of 75 per cent ad valorem; and
(b) the whole of the additional duty of customs leviable thereon under section 3 of the second mentioned Act.

104 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i )J CUSTOMSG.SR, 370(E) 54(E)-—In exercise of lh© powers oonforrod by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 15 of the Finance Act, 197K (19 of 197S), Ihc Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 96-Custotm, dated the 12th May, 1978, namely :—
In the Schedule annexed to the said notification, ufter Serial No. 225 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :—
"226. No. 26-Customs, dated 31st January, 1979."
