NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 3rd February, 1979
QS.K. 62(E),—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (a) of article 3)8 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Union Public Service Commission (Members) Regulations, 1969, namely :—
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Union Public Service Commission
(Members) Second Amendment Regulations, 1979;
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official
Gazette.
2. In regulation 9 of the Union Public Service Commission (Members) Regu- lations, 1969, after sub-regulation (3) and the Explanations thereunder, the following Bub-regulntions shall be Inserted, namely:—
"(4) Every member referred to in sub-regulation (1) shall be eligible for graded relief In pension at the rates applicable to a Central Govern- ment officer.
(5) Commutation will be permissible in respect of pensions granted under this regulation in accordance with the rules applicable to Central Government officers of the highest grade."
