164. THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. J(T)1 chasing centre for the sugar year 1978-79 until the 30th Septem- ber, 1979 subject to the rebate payable therefor under clause 3A of the said Order;And for that purpose the Central Government hereby amends (he Government of India notification, in the Ministry of Agri- culture & Irrigation (Department of Food), No. G.S.R. 484(E)/ Ess. Com./Sugarcane, dated the 1st October, 1978 with imme- diate effect as follows, namely ;—
"In the Schedule to the said Notification,—
(i) Under the Heading "UTTAR PRADESH", serial No. 30 and Ihc entries relating thereto shall be deleted;
(ii) Under the Heading "ANDHRA PRADESH", (..trial No. 18 and (he entries relating thereto shall be deleted;
(iii) Under the Heading "GUJARAT", serial No. 11 and
the entries relating thereto shall be deleted;
(iv) Under the Heading "MAHARASHTRA", serial No. 5 and the entries relating thereto shall be deleted; and (v) Under the Heading "KARNATAKA", serial No. 20 and the entries relating thereto shall be deleted."

Com./Sugurcanc—lrj exercise of the powers'conferred by clause 3 of the Sugarcane (Control) Order, 1966 and having regard to various factors mentioned under sub- clause (i) thereof, the Central Government, after further consul- tation with such authorities, bodies and associations as arc considered necessary by it to be consulted, hereby, on the basis of the basic minimum price of sugarcane at Rs, 10.00 per quintal linked to a recovery of 8,5 per cont or below with a premium of 11.7647 paise per quintal for every 0.1 per cent increase in recovery above 8,5 per cent, re-fixes, with immediate effect, the price specified in column (3) of the Schedule hereto annexed as the minimum price and shall bo payable by the owners of the vacuum pan process sugar factories specified in the correspond- ing entry in column (2) of the said Schedule or their agents for sugarcane delivered at the gate of their factories or at any pur-
