EXPORT TRADE CONTROL
Subject.—Export Policy of Wood and Timber for the period 1978-79.
F No. 6/1/78/EI.—Attention is invited to the Department of Commerce Public Notice No. 73-ETC(PN)/78 dated 10th November, 1978 read with Ex- ports (Control) Amendment Older No. E(C)O, 1977/AM(102) dated 5th March, 1979 on the above subject.
2. On a review of the position, it has been decided that export of Temperate and Sub-Alpine hard-wood species in the Himalayan region shall not be allowed under Open Genera! Licence-3 but that such requests should be entertained 'on merits' as per paragraph 9 of the Public Notice No. 73-ETC(PN)/78 da'ed 10th Novmber, 1978. Hence, the existing entry iigainst S. No, 13 of paragraph 5 of the said Public Notice stands deleted.
