PUBLIC NOTICE
No. Drawback/PN-26/79— Under rule 4 of the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1971 (Notification No. 52/F. No. 602/2/70-DBK published in the Gazette of India— Extraordinary, dated the 25th August, 1971), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Table published in the Public Notice No. DRAWBACK/PN-1 dated the 15th October, 1971 J.S amonded from time to time—
(1) In the Column 'Rate of drawback' against sub-item (i) of item (a) of Sub-Serial No. 3805, the following shall be substltued, namely :—
"Rs. 9.10 (Rupees Nine and paiso ten only) per kg."
(2) In the Column 'Rate of drawback' against item (b) of Sub-Serial No- 3805 the following shall be substituted, namely-
"Rs. 8,40 (Rupees Eight and paise forty only) per kg."
(3) The Amendments indicated (1) and (2) above shall be deemed to have come into force on the 25th day of October, 1978.
(4) For Serial No. 38 and the entries relating thcieto the
following shall be substituted, namely :—
"38 Manufacture of metals (other than brass art wares and electroplated nickel silver wares and articles) not otherwise specified."

(b) For Sub-Serial No. 3805 and the entries relating thereto
the following shall be substituted, namely ;—
"3805 Brass manufactures including brass builders, hardware but excluding brass art ware and Electroplated nickel Silver (EPNS) ware and urti- cles.
(a) Utensils and other articles made Rs. 9.10 (R
out of Sheets/strips Nine and Pn only) per kg-f
(b) Others Rs. 8.40 (Rupees Eight and Paise forty only) per kg.
Provided thai rule 56A or rule 191-A for 191-B of the Centwil Excise Rules 1944 has not been availed of in respect of goods or articles,"
(7) Sub-Serial No. 3815 and the entries relating thereto
shall be omitted.
(8) The amendments indicated in (4) to (7) above shall come
into force on 17-3-1972..
