Subject : IMPORT POLICY, 1978-79
F. No. 6/170/78-EPC—Attention is invited to the Import Policy, 1978-79 published under the Department of Commerce Public Notice No. 22-ITC(PN)/ 78, dated the 3rd April, 1978 as amended from time to time.
2. In the import policy for Registered Exporters contained in Appendix 17 of the said Import Policy, natural rubber was permitted for import against the exports of specified Rubber Manufactures in Category No. XII in Product Group 'B' vide Department of Commerce Public Notice No. 67-ITC(PN)/78 dated the 14th September, 1978. In view of the Natural Rubber Subsidy Scheme that has been brought into force, it has been decided to (a) delete this item from Column 4, retrospectively with effect from and (b) allow import replenish- ment against the export products concerned only at the rates as admissible prior to, the said Public Notice dated the 14th September, 1978.
3. REP licences already issued for import of this item may be produced to the licensing authorities concerned for deletion of this item, so that the exporters concerned are able to avail themselves of the Natural Rubber Subsidy Scheme with effect from 1st April, 1978.
