S.O, 175(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 4 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government, after consultation with the Reserve Bank of India and Punjab National Bank, by which Nalanda Gramin Bank has been sponsored, specifies Bihar Shariff in the district of Nalanda as the place where Nalanda Gramin Bank shall have its head office.

BANKING DIVISION NOTIFICATIONS New Delhi, the 31st March, 1979
S.O. 174(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government, being requested so to do by Punjab National Bank, establishes, with effect from the 31st March, 1979, a Regional Rural Bank in the State of Bihar under the name of Nalanda Gramin Bank, which shall operate within the local limits of the district of Nalanda in the State of Bihar.

S.O. 176(E).—In pursuance of sub-clause (iii) of clause (a) of sub-section (6) of section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934), the Central Government hereby notifies, for the purposes of the said sub-clause, Nalanda Gramin Bank, being on institution established under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976).
