S.O. 223 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 5 read with Sub-Section (1) of Sector) 6 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956), the Central Government hereby appoints Mr. Justice S, \ 1. Sikri, retired Chief Justice of India, to be a member of the University Grants Commission vice Mr. Justice H, R. Khanna, resigned,
2. Mr. Justice Sikri will hold office for a term of three years.
