G5.R. 279(E).—In exercise of he powers conferred by section 146 of the Sikh Gurdwarns Act, 1925 (Punjab Act 8 of 1925), as modified by the notifica- tion of the Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs, S.O. 63(E): dated the 3rd February, 1978, issued under sub-section (1) read with sub- sections (2) and (3) of section 72 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966 (31 of 196fi), ihc Central Government hereby make" the fo'lowing rules further lo amend the Sikh Gurdwnras Board (Co-optation of Members) Rules, 1926, namely :—
1. Short title nnd commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Sikh
Gurdwaras Bonrd (Co-optation of Members) Amendment Rules, 1979.
(2) They shall come into forco on the dnte of their publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. In the S|kh Gurdwaras BourcJ (Co-optation of Members) Ru'es, 1926,—
(i) for the expression "Comm-is'jioner, Gnrdwara Elections", wherever it occurs, the expression "Chief Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections" shull be substituted ;
(ii) in rule 3, for the words "the Punjab Government", the words "the
Central Government" shall be substituted.
