Somasundaram, member elected to that House from 31- Thanjavur parliamentary constituency in the State of Tamil Nadu ;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub- section (1) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect a person to fill the said vacancy 25 June, 1979, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder.

[No. 100fIN-HP/l/78(2)]S.O. 286(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby apjpoints, with respect to the bye-election to be held in 31-Thanjavur parliamentary consti- tuency In the State of Tamil Nadu in pursuance of its notifi- cation No. 10O/TN-HP/l/78(l). dated 16 May, 1979,—
(a) 23 May, 1979 (Wednesday), as the last date for
making nominations ;
(b) 24 May, 1979 (Thursday), as the date for the
scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) 26 May, 1979 (Saturday), as the last date for the
S.O. 287(E).—In pursuance of section 58 of the Represent*, tion of the people Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Com- mission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken for the bye-election to the House of the People from 31- Thanjavur parliamentary constituency to be held in pursuance of ita notification No. 100/TN-HP/l/78(l), dated 16 May, 1979.
