G.S.R, 317(EJ.-—In cxcrci.se of the powers conferred under sub-rule (1) of rule N of the Central Kxeisc Rules, 1344, the Central Government hereby exe- rnp s piep.ueil food* Icorvisting of cereals (such as wheat, Bengal gram and giounjnut) and Jaggery] fulling under Item No 1-B of ihe Central Fxcjse uud Suit Act, J944, (1 of 1944), intended to provide energy to infants or children or pregnant women or for nursing mothers, from the whole of ihe duly of ex- cise leviable thereon :

Provided that it is established to the satisfaction of the Collector of Central Kxcise Ihut the said food preparations are distributed free for consumption by the classes of persons aforesaid.

2. This notification shall be in foice upto and inclusive of 30th day of luDe 1979.
