New Delhi, the 18th June, 1979

CENTRAL EXCISES

G.S.R. 381 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby niakes the following rules further to amend the Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely :—

1.(1) These rules may be called th" Central Excises (14th Amendment) Rules,

1979.

(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of July, 1979.

2. In the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the heading "E-VIII Plywood—SpecialProcedure" and rules 96 ZA to 96 ZG shall be omitted. [Notification No. 212/79-CE. F. No, 62/12/78-CX. 2] T. V.
