G. S. R. 386 (E) In exercise of the,powers conferred by sub- section (1) of Suction 3 of the All India fj;rviccs Act, 1951 (nl of 1951) and rule 11 of the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 1954, the Central Government after consultation with the Governments of the States concerned hereby makes the follo- wing rules further to amend the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 1954, namely ;—
(i) These rules may be called the Indian Police Service
(Pay) Fourth (Admcndment) Rules, 1979.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publi-
cation in the Official Oazcttc.
2. In Schedule III to the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 1954, under the heading "C—Posts carrying pay above the time scale or special pay in addition to pay in the time scale under entries in Colums, 2, 3 and 4 ;—
"Central Intelligence Officers Senior Scale Rs. 200"
the following entries shall be substituted, namely :—
"Centra! Intelligence Officers Senior Scale Rs. 300 (sub- or Selection jeet to ih,-* Grade condition that pay plus 3pl. Pay does not exceed Rs. 2,000).
(ii) Under heading "S. V. P. National Police Academy",
for the existing entries in Colums 2, 3 and 4:— "Deputy Directors 1600-100-1800 lOOw.e.f. 2-7-1968 Asstt. Directors Senior Scale 200"
the following entries shall be substituted, namely :--
"Deputy Directors 2000-125-2250 Rs. 200/-

Assistant Directors Senior Scale Rs. 300/-"
