NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st July, 1979
CUSTOMS
aO. 38W&).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby mates the following further amendments to the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 91-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1963, namely :—
In the Table below the said notification,—
(a) for entry in column 2 corresponding to the entry "Appellate Collec- tor of Customs, Bombay" in column 1, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :—
"The States of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh (excluding the area under the port and airport of Visakhapatnflm and the area under Visakhapatnam Municipality) and the Union Territory of Goa, Daman and Dhi.";
(b) for the entry in column 2 corresponding to the entry "Appellate Collector of Custom* Madras" in column 1, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :—
"The states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and the area under th" port and airport of Visakhapatnam and the area under Visakhapatnam Municipality in the State of Andhra Pradesh and the Union Terri- tory of Pondicherry."
(c) the entry "Appellate Collector of Customs and Central Excise, Hyderabad" in column 1 and entries corresponding thereto in column 2. shall be omitted.
