GS.R. 454(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- NOTIFICATIONS New Delhi, the 4th July 1979 CUSTOMSscction(l) of section 25 of the Customs, Act, 1962(52 of 1967), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessry in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking No. 240-Customs, dated 2ndAug. 1976, namely.- G.S R. 433(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (!) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962),the Central Government, being satisfied that it is Accessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts wool raw & wool tops falling under sub-heading (2) of Heading No. 52,01/05 of the 333 GI/79 (905)

G.S.R. 435(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, (ho Central Government horeby directs that the notifications of the Govern- ment of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in tho corresponding ent'ies in column (3) of the said Table.

In the Table annexed to the said notification, for the figurs aid words, "2.00 per cent, ad valorem" "2.50 per cent ad valorem"' "4.00 per cent, ad valorem" , and "6.00 per cent, ad valorem", the figurs and words '"4.00 per cent ad valorem"- "5.00 per cent, ad valorem", "8.00 per cent, ad valorem". and, "10.00 per cent. ad valorem", shall respecti- vely be substituted.

2. 168/77-Central Excises, dat- ed the 18th June, 1977.

For the words "uiptes ii\c per kilogj"m'\ the woids "rupee;, seven and paise fifty per kilogram" shall be substituted.
