G.S.R. 447(E).~ln exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby muke.9 the following rules further to amend the Central Excise Rules, 1944. namely ;—

1. These rales may be called the Central Excise (17th Amendment) Rules.

2. In the. Central Excise Rules, 1944, in rule 2, in clause (iia), in sub-clause \a), after the words "Collector of Central Excise, Ahmedabud", the words "Collector of Central Excise, Barodn"; shall be inserted.
