F, No. 602/1/79 DBK.—Under rule 4 of (he Oustomsand Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1971 (Notificaticn No S2/F. No. 602/2/70-DBK published in the Gazette of India, Extra- ordinary, ditcd the 25th August, 1971), the Central Government hereby nvikes the following amendments in the Table published in the Public Notice No. DRAWBACK/PN-1 dated the 15th Oct- ober 1971, as amended from time to time :---

The drawback at the rates at sub-item(c) above shall apply if at the time of exportation, the exporter produces evidence to the satisfaction of the Assistant Collector of Customs that the goods have been manufactured out of skelp or C. R, Strips, as the cape imy be, and appropriate duty at the rate applicable to Skelp or C. R. Strips as the case may be under item 26AA of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) his been paid on such Skelp or C. R. Strips.
Provided that.—
(d) made from pipes and tubes other than seamless pipes and tubes with wall tickness less than 5mm other than those at (c) above—
The drawback at the rates at sub-item (C) above shall apply if at the time of exportation the exporter produces evidence to the satisfaction of the Assistant Collector of Customs thai the goods tMve been manufactured out of C. R. Strips and appro- priate duty at the rate applicable to C. R. Sti ips under item 26AA of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944(1 of 1944) has been paid on such C. R. Strips.
(i) Ungalvanised Rs. 453,00 (Rupees four
hundred and fifty three only) per tonne.
2. Under sub-serial No. 3640, the following Note shall be
added, namely; --
(ii) Galvanised Rs. 774.00 (Rupees seven hundred and seventy four only) per tonne.
"Note.— The above rates of drawback shall not be applic- able in respect of exports of steel pipes and tubes,"'
(e) Fittings for Steel pipes and tubes —
3. This Public Notice shall be deemed to have come into force
on the 1st day of June, 1979.
