SO. 470(E).—In pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amend- ment) Act, 1976, the following Order made by the Election Commission under clause (d) of sub-section (3) of section 6 of the Act is hereby published :—
ORDER
808 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] II. In Schedule Vin of the said Order— Constituencies Order, 1976, were published in the Gazette of India and in the official Gazette of State of Himachal Pradesh on 9th September, 1977 ;And whereas all objections and suggestions received in relation to the said proposals relating to the State of Himachal Pradesh were considered by the Commission at public sittings held at Simla on 5th arid 6th June, 1979 ;
The Commission hereby makes the following amendments in the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Consti- tuencies Order, 1976 (without altering the extent of any constituency as given in such Order) in respect of the State of Himachal Pradesh—
I. In Schedule n of the said Order, against item 6- Himachal Pradesh—under column 6, the figure "16" •hall be substituted for the figure "15."
' 1} in Part A—Parliamentary Constituencies—in 1-Simla (SC), the entry "16-Rainka (SC)", shall be substi- tuted for the existing entry "16-Rainka" ; and
(2) in Part B—Assembly Constituencies—the serial number and name of the constituency "16-Rainka (SC)" shall be substituted for "16-Rainka".
