822 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART n—SEC. 3(ii)] ELECTION COMMISSION OK INDIA NOTIFICATION I. tn Schedule II of the said Order, against item 21-Uttar Pradesh—under column 6, the figure "92" shall be substituted for the figure "89". New Delhi, the 4th August, 1979 II. In Schedule XXII of the said Order—S.O. 475(E).—la pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 8 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amend- ment) Act, 1976, the following Order made by the Election Commission under clause (d) of sub-section (3) of Section 6 of the Act is hereby published :—
ORDER
Whereas under clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 6 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amendment) Act, 1976, the proposals of the Election Commission to amend the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1976, were published In the Gazette of India and in the official Gazette of the State of Uttar Pradesh on 9th September, 1977;
And whereas all objections and suggestions received in relation to the said proposals relating to the State of Uttar Pra- desh were considered by the Commission at public sittings held at Lucknow on 6th February, 1979 and at Varanasi on 9th Feb- ruary, 1979;
The Commission hereby makes the following amendments in the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituen- cies Order, 1976 (without altering the extent of any constituency as given in such Order) in respect of the State of Uttar Pradesh—
(1) in Part A—Parliamentary Constituencies^
(i) In 49-Saidpur (SC), in tho extent of the constituency, "235-Sadat (SC)" shall be substituted for "235-Sadat";
(ii) In 51-Chandauli, in tho extent of the constituency , "238-Chandauli (SC)" shall be substituted for
"238-Chandauli"; and
(iii) In 57-Chail (SC), in the extent of tho constituency, "280-Sirathu (SC)" shall be substituted for "280-Sirathu".
(2) in Part B—Assembly Constituencies—
(i) the serial No. and name of the constituency, "235- Sadat (SC)" shall be substituted for "235-Sadat"; (ii) the serial No. and name of the constituency, "238- Chandauli (SC)" shall be substituted for "238- Chandauli" ; and
(iii) tbe serial No. and namo of the constituency, "280- Sirathu (SO" shall be substituted for "280-Sirathu".
