NOTIFICATION
S.O. 514(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (f) and (g) of Sub-section (1) of Section 47 of the Indian Rail- ways Act, 1890, (9 of 1890). The Central Government hereby makes tho following rules further to amend the Railways (Ware housing and Wharfage) Rules, 1958, namely :—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Railways (Warehousing
and Wharfage) (Amendment) Rules, 1979.
(2) They shall come into force with effect from the date of
their publication in the official Gazette.
2. In the Railways (Warehousing and Wharfage) Rules
1958 :
(1) In Rule 1A in the table,—
(i) against item (i) relating to goods traffic under column 4, under Group I stations and Group II stations, the following entries shall be substituted, namely :
"Group I Group II
Paise Paite 38 19 45 25 75 38"
(11) against item relating to "Luggage and Parcels traffic" under column 4 for the figure and word "35 Pake", the flgur* and word "70 Paise" shall be substituted.
(2) In Rule 6 in the table :—
(i) Against item (i) under column 3 in the entry, after the words "except vegetable oil tank wagons" and before tho figure and word "60 Paise for" the following words and figures shall bo inserted, namely :
The following rates will be applicable to those stations which are notified by the Railway Administration for these demurrage rates; For the first day 38 Paise For the second day 45 Paise For the third day
and thereafter. 60 Paise
(il) against item (ii) under column 3, in the tntiy after the words "except vegetable oil tank wagons" and before the figure and words "60 Paise for" the following words and figures shall be inserted namely :
For the first day 38 Paise For the second day 45 Paise For the third day and
thereafter 60 Paise
(Hi) against item (iv) under column 3, for the word and figure "Rupees 50/-" the word and figure "Rupees 75/-" shall be substituted.
(iv) against item (v) under column 3, for the word and figure "Rupees 50/-", the word and figure "Rupees 75/-" shall be substituted.
(3) in Rule 15, for the words "Sixty Paise" wherever they occur, the word* "Rupee one and fifty paise" shall be substituted.
