Sub : Export of Silver salts, silver chemicals, and compounds with move than 50 per cent silver contents.
F. No. 21/U4/79-EI.—Export of Silver salts, silver chemicals and com- pounds with more than 50 per cent silver contents was banned vide Public Notice No. 3O-ETC(PN)/79 read with Export Contiol Amendment Order No. E(C)O, 1977/AM(1O6) both dated 30-3-1979. A provision was. made in para- graph 4 of the aforesaid Public Notice thrat cases of prc-ban commitments will be decided "On Merits" only.
2. Tt has now been decided that the conditions as indicated in para 3 of Public Notice No. 54-ETCfPN)/79 dated 13th August, 1979 for considering cases of pre-control commitments in respect of export of manufactures and products containing 50 per cent or leas silver contents, will be applicable to the cases for export of silvci salts, silver chemicals and* compounds with more than 50 per cent silver content undci pre-ban commitments.
