NOTIFICATIONS

CUSTOMS
GS.R.542(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52
of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is
necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts
prilled amonium nitrate (explosive grade) falling within Chap-
ter 31 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975
(51 of 1975), when imported into India, from payment of so
much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon
which is specified in the said First Schedule, as is in excess
of 40 per cent ad valorem
2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive of
the 31st July, 1980.

being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to
do, hereby nwkes the following further amendment in the
notilicalion of the Government of India in the Ministry of
Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 104-Customs, dated
Kith May. 1979, namely :—
In the Schedule to the said notification, after Serial No.
231 and the entries relating thereto the following shall be
inserted, namely :—
"232 No, 193-Customs, dated 18th September, 1979".
