G.S.R. 566(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by "ub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944. the Central Government hereby exempts aluminium ingots, falling under Item No. 27 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises arid Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), and required by the Central Government to be sold or supplied in terms si the provisions contained in the Aluminium (Control) Order, 1970, os in force for the time being, read with the notifications Issued thereunder, from so much of the duty of excise levi- able thereon as in in excess of the duty calculated on the basis of the value arrived at after deducting the aluminium price equalisation amount from the sale price fixed by 1he Central Government in terms of the provisions contained in (he aforesaid order as the price payable for aluminium to- gots to the producer thereof.
Explanation :—In this notification, the expressions 'aluminium price equalisation amount' and 'producer' shall have the same meanings as are assigned to them in the Aluminium (Control) Order, 1970.

No. 335/4/79-TRIJ] G.S.R. 567(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 56A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 223/62-Central Excises, dated the 29th December, 1962, namely :—
In the said notification, for item 15, the following item shall be substituted, namely :—
''15. Aluminium, other than wire rods manufactured from ingots or billets".

G.S.R. 568CE).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944. the Central Government hereby makes the fol'owing amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 187/78-Central Excises, dated the 18th October, 1978, namely :—
In the said notification, after the words, figures and brackets "the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944),", the words "other than aluminium ingots," shall be inserted.
