G.S.R. 573(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 of ihe Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (XXVI of 1881), the Central Gov- ernment hereby declares Monday, the 8th October, 1979, as public holiday throughout India on account of the demise of Shri Jayaprakash Niiruyan.
