New Delhi, the 23rd October, 1979
G.S.R. 583(E).—tn exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of sub-section (7) of section i>8A of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Centra! Government after consultation with the Reserve Bank of India hereby makes the following amendment in notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Law, Justice and Company Affairs (Department of Company Affairs), number G.S.R. 50(E) dated the 1st February 1977, namely :—
For the existing clause (a) of notification No. G.S.R. 50(E) dated 1st
February, 1977 the following shall bo substituted :—
"(a) \ company which is a small scale industrial unit, the aggregate of wbosc paid up capital and free reserves did not, and does not, at any time exceed three lakhs of rupees and which invites or accents deposits from not more than fifty persons."
